If fried sausage is not the literal translation of Bratwurst, what is?

Autobahn symbols

[edit]

I nominated the Autobahn graphics you uploaded fo deletion under Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2005 September 11, because there are (sometimes better) versions on Commons. --Qualle (talk) 10:03, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ARD Karte image

[edit]

The Image:ARD Karte mit Logos.png (first of all why not have translated the title, but I digress) is listed under Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images at least for the moment - I know that the ARD granted permission for use under the German Wikipedia, but someone really SHOULD check and see if they grant the same permission on the English Wikipedia, or if permissions have to be received from all TEN companies whose logos are on that map. --JohnDBuell 16:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Translating German Wikipedia articles into English

[edit]

It is nice that you are translating de:Baureihenschema der DB as Locomotive classification of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. However, it would be even nicer if you could do the translation in an offline editor or in a user subpage (for example User:Doco/sandbox or User:Doco/Locomotive classification of the Deutsche Bundesbahn) and only post it here when it is finished. Having pages that are half in German is somewhat irritating. Thank you, and happy editing! Kusma (討論) 15:57, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deutsche Reichsbahn

[edit]

Hey, thanks for renaming the Deutsche Reichsbahn article and for the disambiguation page. I was never happy about the page title "Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft" but have phrased the intro a bit more robustly to show that the DR predated the DRG, and that DRG was never the operating name of the railway, in which case I don't think it's so bad. Regards, ProhibitOnions 12:05, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you might be interested in this new notice board (we're about to go more inclusive and to become German-speaking instead of German). Besides looking for contributors (please invite more), we are looking for things to put on our to-do list right now. If you have anything that you need help with, just post it. Hope to see you there, Kusma (討論) 23:52, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for edit summary

[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 27% for major edits and 53% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 80 minor edits outside the Wikipedia, User, Image, and all Talk namespaces.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear inpolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:19, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mad

[edit]

Why did you kill my article so soon as I was still writing it and this was the first time I have try to write an article

RE:MAD

[edit]

Sorry if I sounded gruff. Thanks for the helpfull hints.

Hanover fairground

[edit]

I have to admit, I went to the Hanover fairground article thinking it'd be a two-line article stub with no chance of ever growing. I was pleasantly surprised by the content there, especially the photos, which really bring it together. Keep up the good work, JDoorjam Talk 15:26, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum

[edit]

I am working on disambiguating basin. In the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum article, do you know whether dock (maritime) would be appropriate? or was an indoor specially constructed container used? Thank you. CarolGray 11:55, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your help. CarolGray 08:25, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I announced some of your new articles there -- in the stub section, because you chose to label them as such. I wouldn't be opposed if you remove the stub tags and move them to the article section so we can announce them in the box on Portal:Germany. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 03:01, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doco! I've just seen that you have replaced the table in the North Rhine-Westphalia article. Could you please create a similar one in the Berlin state election 2001 article? Of course only if you have the time and if you feel like doing that. I would be very greatful. My skills in creating tables are not quite excellent (yet). :) Thank you in advance. Daniel Šebesta (talkcontribs) 18:11, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect, thank you. You're right, the new article without the comma shouldn't have been created at all. But I should have thought of checking the election lists it myself... Thanks again. Daniel Šebesta (talkcontribs) 18:26, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your help with one of the articles, could you also help with the following:

PS, if babelfish nonsense needs to be deleted, the article needs to be rewritten. And could you help me with a enquiry on talk:Combino?

Re: TW6000

[edit]

I did this becuase I saw such text (with the template above it) in this article.

Re: Your "translations"

[edit]

I had no way of knowing that. The Goethe institut has many translators that can work in all sorts of areas. If you took the article there, the trnslation could be finished off quicker.Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian):-O

copyright and "Meals on Wheels" article

[edit]

Your edits to Meals on Wheels about the history of Meals on Wheels were very similar to parts of the referenced source at MOWAA. If I was following a source as closely as you did, I would quote it or cite it in the article or in a footnote rather than as a general "Reference" at the end. --Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains 18:28, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What exaclty was untrue about the statement on this page?Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian)(talk)

Sorry Doco, I was hoping to get a consensus on a further move to trams in Europe but I got impatient.Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian):-O
