Personally, I frankly hold a great dislike for Axl. It is alleviated, however, by the fact that in GG and GGXX he sometimes says "Have a nice day!" in English when using his Instant Kill. I'm just amused by this. :D Yar Kramer 20:25, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Eh. Your loss. He's my favorite character, and my best (In fact, in every fighting game I've ever played, I get good at characters in the order that I like them as a character.) Is it "Have a nice day!" or "How 'bout my place!" I hear either one sometimes. Hard to tell with the Japanese accent. Digital Watches 08:12, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure it's "Have a nice day" given the way he delivers it in GGXX ... "Have a NICE day!" sorta. As for being good, I'm only good with Dizzy, and even then it's a marginal value of "good". I suppose it's better to say Dizzy's the only one who I can consistently beat I-No in GGXX#R with. ;) Yar Kramer 19:55, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Eh. I used to think I was bad because I couldn't beat her consistently, but then I entered a tournament in Seattle and won fourth, so I can't be HORRIBLE. Anyway, the intonation just reaffirms "How 'bout MY place" for me, because "Have a NICE day" sounds rather unnatural, but I think it could be either. Digital Watches 02:37, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I was wondering about the wording used in this article describing Axl's 2nd ending vs Zappa and relation to I-no. With regard to Axl's 2nd ending, I don't think he sees S-ko, so it's not like, "Whoa a girl that looks like Megu-- Hey, I wonder what Megumi's doing right now..." Rather, he just seems to "suddenly" wonder about Megumi. The way that ending plays out is a bit vague, so I'm not discounting the Megumi = S-ko theory - I just think you shouldn't say that Megumi = S-ko is implied. (By the way, it *is* official that S-ko committed suicide after being apparently betrayed by her lover - see the Plot FAQ at www.romancancel.com or www.thegearproject.org .) And with regard to I-no, I don't think it's correct to say that Axl recognizes I-no, per se - rather, as he says in one of his fight-opening line: "There's something about your face... I've seen it a lot..." This doesn't imply recognition, merely familiarity. -RTL 13 May 2005
I know. Don't worry, I know that the S-Ko=Megumi thing is fan speculation. That's why I said "Possibly" rather than simply "Because." And in the thing about I-No, to be honest, I don't see how recognition and familiarity differ in this case. He says he recognizes her, so I put it in the article.Digital Watches 21:35, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay Section

[edit]

I've played a bit more Axl since I last edited, and have thought of more things to mention in the gameplay section. We should start making the good and bad matchup sections with all the players thus far. Also: If you disagree with the matchups, feel free to change them. Raven

[edit]

I added Raven into the article, since it was removed from that man's. The reason I placed it here is because of the realtionship between Axl and Raven, although it's only mentioned in passing. It can't go back into That Man's article, it doesn't have enough information to get it's own article, and It would be a shame to not have it somewhere. If you want to remove it that's fine by me, just post why you did it. --Shaoken 03:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering if it would be alright to add a description to Ravens section or if there were some reson someone hasent yet.
What kind of description? Apart from visual (and I can snag a screenshot of him from someone's Story Mode), he seems to be pretty well described already ... --Yar Kramer 04:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I basicly just mean visual. The phisycle appearence of a charecter is a pretty big part of them. I just dont see why there wouldent be a picture or description.--Lucky hat 02:02, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ya and also in the curent paragraph or so on raven it dosent realy explain that he is probubly inhuman. the only thing written on the subject of his that he cant feel things.--Lucky hat 02:02, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i dont mean to put fan theroys or anything like that more like a picture of him or a description of his more striking fetures. what i ment by my above coment was just that he has an odd aperense and currently you might think hes a normal human.or at least in apperence. also if we can put a picture of him in shouldent we?--Lucky hat 02:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Raven Picture

[edit]

I've got a picture for Raven. It's from the game. If you want the picture for when he's talking in story mode, I've got that too. -- Digital Watches 06:21, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm ... why don't you upload them at least, so we can compare them and stuff. —Yar Kramer 17:16, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Kane

[edit]

Is there a connection between these two characters? Both are blonde, british and wear Union Jack-clothing. Also, both use chain-weapons and manipulate fire for no particular reason.

Justice

[edit]

Justice wasn't one of That Man's servants. She lead the Gears in the Crusades, and was sealed at the end. That wasn't That Man's doing, and he was in fact held prisoner by the Gears, according to the XX Drama CDs.

Fair use rationale for Image:T00040.png

[edit]

Image:T00040.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
