- That was nice, thanks for catching that, Sarah! It's amazing how much happened since '06/'07. And still so many more topics, time permitting... SeoR (talk) 11:33, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- That's a very satisfying milestone. Thanks for letting us know, Sarah. We should have had cake. Spideog (talk) 22:53, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

Manual of style: legal citation
[edit]We should have a recommended style on MOS:IRELAND/MOS:LAW for titles of articles on Irish case law. Over on Category:Supreme Court of Ireland cases, you can see a lack of consistency in use of punctuation and abbreviations, and in the number of parties named. I could go either way on punctuation, but in most cases, one party only should be named on either side of the v (no need to include & anor). If a case is reported in the Irish Reports or Irish Law Reports Monthly, our standard law reports, we could use the running title there as a recognised short title or common name for the judgment. Within articles, there are other matters of style to consider as well. Iveagh Gardens (talk) 09:03, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
Supreme Court cases: Duplication of articles
[edit]Related to the above discussion, but a separate matter, there are quite a few duplicate articles on the same case
- Child and Family Agency (formerly Health Service Executive) v O.A. and Child and Family Agency (Formerly Health Service Executive) v OA
- J. McD v P.L and B.M and McD v. L
- O.R v an Tard Chlairaitheoir and MR and DR v An t-Ard-Chláraitheoir
- Roche (also known as Dumbrell) v Governor of Cloverhill Prison and Roche (Also Known as Dumbrell) v Governor of Cloverhill Prison
Someone might want to have a look at them to see which is better to keep in each case, considering both content and the extent of article history. Iveagh Gardens (talk) 18:08, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
