Edith Cavell Memorial in Ararat, Victoria, Australia.

[edit]

There is an Edith Cavell memorial in Ararat, Victoria, Australia. It is located in Barkly Street. Nudgey69 (talk) 22:26, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The memorial and reserve are already listed at List of dedications to Edith Cavell#Other. There are so many dedications to her that all except actual monuments were moved to a separate list. I shall have a closer look at this entry and whether it should be moved from "dedications" to "memorials". Thanks for drawing attention to the reserve. I've added a welcome notice to your talk page, may I also welcome you here. Wikipedia always welcomes and values constructive editors such as yourself. Mount Edith Cavell

[edit]

Perhaps you should include a link to the Mount Edith Cavell page. Just a suggestion. Thanks, John N. 72.78.68.95 (talk) 17:06, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's already included the Memorials subsection, as well as a link to the main article, List of dedications to Edith Cavell. SamuelRiv (talk) 17:30, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Memorials section of article

[edit]

I've done a tidy-up of the memorials section of the article so that there is consistency (e.g. all bullet point lists) to the sections for the different types of memorials. I notice that there is also a separate list of dedications and also a disambiguation page which has some memorials and some dedications listed. The pages seem a bit repetitive and unclear as to what goes where. Can I suggest the following (feedback appreciated!)? We create a new page, "List of memorials to Edith Clavell" and move all the information about the built memorials to that page; we keep the list of dedications; we delete the disambiguation page. I have time in the next couple of weeks to do this if others agree it would be an improvement. MurielMary (talk) 09:57, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
