"the end of the first verse already show the propaganda part"

The first verse is: "The bunch of little bears happily sleeping,". Shouldn't that be about the penultimate verse (of the quotation): "Our dreams were hushed away by the grim despotism,"? Asking because it is possible some meaning was lost in the translation. gcbirzan 21:53, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Content Discrepancies

[edit]

This article is off to a good start, however much of the content needs expanding upon. China, Iran, and Cuba are discussed in relative detail, however each of the other sections are too short. More content with explanation of who wrote the songs and why they are revolutionary. - Mayacaps (talk) 17:45, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

Many citations are lacking complete information or are not completely relevant to the information being cited. The information linked to the 10th citation is too closely paraphrased and should be edited. Annamberg07 (talk) 17:45, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the information is missing a source, and I cannot trace where some of the information came from. Samtree121 (talk) 17:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Political Bias in the article

[edit]

Was this meant to demonstrate left wing/workers revolutions? Many of the revolutions exemplified were socialist/communist revolutions and doesn't really include right wing/centrist revolutions (Nazi Germany, Spain, Argentina, Nicaragua, etc.) if so, could this be recharacterized as the role of music in socialist revolutions?

The categorization of the revolutions should stay consistent. So I would choose to categorize them by country or by time period. Bvwrigle (talk) 17:46, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Citations Needed

[edit]

Consider reviewing information in section "China" and add citations where needed. Emmyminer (talk) 17:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

French Revolution section

[edit]

Could more detail be added to the French Revolution section about the date of the cited revolution, as well as the fact that "La Marseillaise" remains the French national anthem? I feel that would be significant. Aurgallagher (talk) 17:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
