Comment

[edit]

There are hundreds of hindu organisations, smaller and larger, involved in various activites. The purpose of this article is to present a brief idea of such an organisation -and to record the achievements of these organisations. Please add the content to these. Lets present the views as they are portryed and practiced by the followers of the faith - while being realistic about their activities.

This article is unmaintainable and should either be deleted or changed into List of Hindu organizations Andries 10:24, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I never meant to say the information on this page should be deleted. The information should be refractored to the respective articles of these organizations. I only meant to say that this article is a too ambitious project and will hence never become a mature article. Andries 12:04, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

On April 18, 2005, this article was nominated for deletion. The result was keep and cleanup. See Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Survey of Hindu organisations for a record of the discussion. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 00:38, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Commented out section

[edit]

I have commented out a section above on this talk page, since the guidelines it presents are, well, quite bad, and it would be best if we didn't have inexperienced users following them and creating badly formatted articles. --RobthTalk 16:12, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion - Akharas

[edit]

This page might link to the Akhara page which nicely explains the Akhara system of Sadhus in India. The Akharas themselves should also be included in the list. Smithfarm 13:12, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
