Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

I am having delete problems with the page, any help would be great? --SqueakBox 00:20, Mar 5, 2005 (UTC)

Chicago aldermen

[edit]

Hi there! Since the discussion seemed finished, I've closed up the Wikipedia:Deletion_policy/Local_politicians discussion for now. I believe consensus has been established that local politicians deserve mention in Wikipedia, but not in a separate article UNLESS they have done something exceptional. Would you please check if you find this a reasonable conclusion, and leave a short note on that page's talk page? Thanks.

Also if you have a lot of spare time you may want to consider helping with the merging proposed in that discussion.

Yours, Radiant! 10:10, Mar 8, 2005 (UTC)

Barcelona Conference

[edit]

Please can you try and get it up there. this is important to me, as you can probably see. Ta, --SqueakBox 03:38, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks

[edit]

Please do fix up those VfD entries. It's been a while since I've done it, and it seems to have got a lot more convoluted... thanks! Fuzheado | Talk 23:40, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Prof. Birch

[edit]

You're absolutely right, I did leave my comment in the wrong spot. Thanks for pointing it out to me. Another reason why the keep of that article was bogus occurred to me and I added that too. It's been a concern of mine for a while about the 2 to 1 needed to delete, when there are at least 3 ways of voting. Maybe a new formula is needed. -R. fiend 17:06, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

GRider

[edit]

Regarding GRider's 'Socratic' VfD nominations and the ensuing reactions by voters, please read and comment on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/GRider2. Thanks. Radiant_* 12:23, Mar 22, 2005 (UTC)

The Goofyguy nickname

[edit]

I no longer go by the Wikipedia nickname "Goofyguy"! Just be grateful of that since my new nickname isn't as suspicious! And also, I am trying to make acceptable contributions to Wikipedia (e.g. Monsters from Duke Nukem 3D). --TheSamurai 22:28, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

More about the Nickname GoofyGuy

[edit]

As you pointed out that my 3 nicknames describe the same person; I only pointed out that I changed by nickname because I was in jeopardy of being banned when I had my previous nickname; and I don't want to be put into an awkward situation based on Wikipedia.

The continuing GoofyGuy saga

[edit]

While we're on the subject, I agree that an RfC is completely warranted in this fellow's case. He's trying to contribute, but is leaving a mess. Worse, he hasn't left a single response to any of my messages and I've been as pleasant as can be with him. Maybe this'll help get him flying straight. Please let me know what you'd like for me to do to help. - Lucky 6.9 05:09, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • I would strongly support the opening of an RfC on SamuraiClinton, aka GoofyGuy. My personal experience with him goes back a few weeks ago, when I voted to delete several of his pages, and suggested that he should be blocked. After he left a note on my talk page, I left a frank response on his talk page and offered several suggestions. He seems to have heeded none of my advice, and has resumed creating page upon page of cruft. He openly admitted: "One reason why I make some articles is because my mind runs out of ones that would have enough significance to be kept". So we should care? He offers us little choice. He's clearly a troll, albeit a remarkably lucky, coddled, long-lived one. We can discuss him in greater detail later. Binadot 05:58, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

User:Rhobite/SamuraiClinton articles and User:Android79/SC: There's duplication of tracking effort here. The two of you should communicate. Uncle G 15:31, 2005 Apr 3 (UTC)

hello from India

[edit]

Hello, I am writing this message from India. I am working as a Senior Manager of a premier Bank of India.

“Johar Jharkahnd”, the article which was recommended for deletion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Log/2005_March_27#Johar_Jharkhand) was placed by me. I am new to wikipedia and I had just put the article, which I had written for my Bank’s House Journal. Out of context, it certainly looked babelfish translation / weird / contained pidjin-English words and was certainly not encyclopedic. I am convinced that the decision to delete the article was correct. However, I can assure you one thing- the article was never intended to read like a Nigerian email scam.

I am very new wiki and within a week, I have become a wikipedian addict. I am sure to participate in the wiki experience and contribute in a positive manner in creating a free encyclopedia. . Thanks…. Byeee. --Bhadani 14:03, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I have closed the debate (Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Monsters from Duke Nukem 3D) and merged the content of your nomination to Duke Nukem 3D. You may want to update your vfd-tally. I have every sympathy with you for nominating that one, I did not really understand a word of that article. Sjakkalle 14:18, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

SC

[edit]

It looks like we've both been keeping tabs on SamuraiClinton's contributions. We should merge User:Android79/SC and User:Rhobite/SamuraiClinton articles. Your page is more comprehensive - mind if I edit it? I still think SC is a good-faith editor but unfortunately an RFC or worse may be necessary. Rhobite 18:10, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)
