The page as is is astonishingly good. What's missing is a clarification. While an Old Boys Blub is real and tangivle to anyone who got a job thru one or a hot stock tip, the phase and the idea are also an ARCHETYPE, a meme, an idea, equally or more valuable as a pattern of male behavior divorced from some or all of the civilizing forces healthy women would bring to a Mafia.

That this topic is closely related to Mafia mentality, would also be a useful clarification.

Always white?

[edit]

In each and all contexts, is an "old boy" always white (cuacasina)? This needs to be addressed. Acwilson9 (talk) 07:47, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Good ol' boy"

[edit]

Good ol' boy redirect to here, but I am not sure if is a good redirect - I think "Good ol' boy" means more "rural/provincial male who likes to hunt/fish/beer/moonshine/muscle cars/etc./etc.", independently of the thing "network of established and privileged people who protect each other".
