Kiev vs Kyiv

Under the city column, Kiev ought to be spelled consistent with its spelling elsewhere on the en.wikipedia.org site. Since this is the English version of wikipedia, Western spellings are used predominantly. For instance, see Ukraine. The Ukranian spelling is noted parenthetically, but the Western spelling is used. This page ought to remain consistent with that. —thames 03:04, 14 Jan 2005 (UTC)
