How can i install this input method on my windows computer? Thanks, --Abdull 19:00, 24 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you can. Your question was from last year. So let me know if you still have problem. Basically it's the same way you add the other languages. But you have to select Chinese (Taiwan) for this. Stephenchao 15:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Stephenchao[reply]

Inconvenient?

[edit]

I don't think it's inconvenient. Just my personal opinion. I know it is definitely better than Cāngjié; input method.

Chinese DAYI Index The "-- input method" (Simplified Chinese: 大易输入法; Traditional Chinese: 大易輸入法) is an input method of Chinese characters, invented few years after Cāngjié input method, to provide faster result with more available keys to use. This system is based on the shapes of a character.

Chinese characters could be created by typing 4 keystrokes or less. Common words that contacts more than one Chinese characters can be input by 4 keystrokes, like items, events, countries, etc. You could even create your own with the sentence you often type with only 4 keystrokes.

In my opinion, DAYI's focus on stroke order and usage of entire radicals is more educational in reinforcing handwriting. Awareness of the radicals is helpful for using dictionaries with the radical/stroke lookup method.
