Disambiguation

[edit]

The last user to edit this added some wargaming material which has absolutely nothing to do with the Rage video game, but in his summary he mentions a point - this needs to be disambiguated. Is it possible to rename this one "Striker (video game)" and the wargaming "Striker (board game)"?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamyskis (talkcontribs) 15:46, 12 May 2005

User that added the wargaming material checking back in... such a disambiguation that clarifies the sports video game from the wargame would be the right thing to do, but the wargame material should be in Striker (wargame) or Striker (miniatures game). It is not a boardgame per se, being played on a tabletop with scenery, and having no board. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 171.65.108.67 (talk) 23:43, 8 August 2005

Fair use rationale for Image:Amiga Striker.jpg

[edit]

Image:Amiga Striker.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Consensus to merge World Soccer '94: Road to Glory into Striker (video game). Felix QW (talk) 10:52, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Formal request has been received to merge World Soccer '94: Road to Glory into Striker (video game) from 190.26.11.92 (talk). Rationale given by proposer: One article refers to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System port of the same game. Please discuss the proposed merge below. Felix QW (talk) 14:16, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's pretty unusual for port to warrant its own article unless it is significantly different from the original. Is this port significantly different? The article of the port does not describe or even mention how it differs. 190.26.11.92 (talk) 00:56, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I found this discussion on Guidance on separate articles for remakes / ports of existing games. It may help others to decide whether the articles should be merged. 190.26.11.92 (talk) 01:25, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like this is just the Super NES version of Striker, so Merge. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 13:08, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
