That's nice. I'm going to cock my eyebrow. Furthermore, I am going to suggest that it be merged with the cake article. Note that I am not being a dick (or at least, am not trying), I am simply suggesting that this article isn't going to get any better, and should probably be shoved into a place where it better fits. I think we should merge these articles. Cake mix is a way to prepare cake. There is a section called "Preperation methods" or some such in the Cake article. Makes sense to me. Cernen 09:55, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. Cake mix is not a way, or method to prepare a cake. Cake mix is an entity. It exists in a package, typically purchased at a store. The preparation method is how the cake is prepared: is it prepared "from scratch," or using a mix? Perhaps you are confusing "mixing a cake" with "cake mix"? Cake mix has a significant history relating to the growth of the 20th Century American packaged food industry and social history related to how people prepare food -- using ingredients from packages rather than using all raw ingredients.
