Source it plz

[edit]

Even the situation comedy Seinfeld based a character on him. The Assman is a proctologist who is involved in a license-plate snafu when his personalized tags are issued mistakenly to Cosmo Kramer. Kramer and Jerry try to figure out exactly who the Assman is, and Jerry thinks he may be "just someone with a big ass".

The Seinfeld episode The Fusilli Jerry is the episode to which you refer. It has no reference to Dick Assman. Weyandt (talk) 18:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fusilli Jerry was around 1995. Same time, approximately. You figure it out. Richard8081 (talk) 05:47, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dick Assman, thats cool name.

According to their wikipedia pages, the Fusilli Jerry aired on April 27 and the Letterman episode where Assman first appeared was on July 24. So methinks it's more likely Dick Assman was "discovered" due to the Seinfeld episode. Rwestera (talk) 21:09, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's more likely just a coincidence :P --104.129.194.118 (talk) 03:07, 8 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

pronounciation

[edit]

hello fellas, i am literally "a primal german", my ancestors arrived here 3000 years ago. "assman" is NOT spoken differently in german, just u say ässmän and we say assman. but it surely is not spoken "oss-men" as dave (the other assman) has claimed, according to fox news in this article here: https://www.foxnews.com/world/canadian-review-committee-rejects-assman-license-plate-report btw i would've written this into dave's wikipage if he had one, but since they'yre related, i think it's okay to post it here. to rule out any unclearances, the "german A" is spoken like you muricans speak it in "Agriculture". someone let the guys know that they pronounce their own name totally wrong, please, thanks...and yes, i am serious, please, someone tell them, it's ashaming for every german that they tell these lies. --2A02:8070:A1A1:6300:6DF2:C3E0:3B61:C466 (talk) 15:12, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
