Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?

Spanish name?

[edit]

The article reads "San Andreas (Spanish for "St.Andrew")..."

The Spanish translation for St. Andrew is "San Andrés", "Andreas" is not a Spanish name. What origin has the name of the town? 152.169.172.77 (talk) 20:12, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's an archaic Spanish spelling, preserved in California. But it is absolutely from Spanish. You see a lot of this in California, like San Ysidro (which would be San Isidro in modern, standard Spanish) or Calabasas (which should be Calabazas). Typo

[edit]

Sentence starting “ In August 1982, a nugget of gold was found here and was sold” is obviously wrong, maybe 1853? Dgsteig (talk) 00:24, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

GTA: San Andreas

[edit]

add "this article talks about the city of California, if you want to see about the game GTA: San Andreas just click here" or something like that Televisão quebrada (talk) 17:16, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

GTA exists in a fictional universe and doesn't take place in California, there is no reason to disambiguate here. On the San Andreas page, absolutely, but not here. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 17:29, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
