Clout

[edit]

My pleasure — I only hope that it does some good. There are at least two other accounts in use, User:Clout and another that I've forgotten for the moment. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:37, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Bucephalus.jpg. Its copyright status is unclear, so it may have to be deleted. Please leave a note on the image page about the source of the image. Thank you. --Ellmist 20:26, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Even though you say "pd-art", you still need to give the source of this image. --Ellmist 20:26, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • This is not suggesting a hierarcal system.
  • It will be used only by users who want to use it.
  • Only ranking will be assigend to users who want to use it.
  • The idea ment to make it like barn stars, but based on regular contribution.
  • It is currently a prototype, likely that it is nothing like the final version.

I urge you to reconsider your vote based on this clarification. Thanks Cat chi? 08:45, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit]
The image you uploaded, Image:Bucephalus.jpg, has no source information. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Unless the copyright status is provided, the image will be marked for deletion on 24 October 2005.

This message notification has been automatically sent by NotificationBot managed and run by AllyUnion. Please leave comments regarding bot operations at AllyUnion's talk page. Please direct all comments regarding licensing information at Wikipedia talk:Images for deletion. --NotificationBot 13:19, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know how to use this talk page but Bucephalus, this ip is a high school, so you can expect plenty of vandalism coming from it.

Thanks. It isn't though. It is some kind of roaming/changing ip. --Bucephalus talk to me 19:29, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion tags

[edit]

Thank you for your work scouring the New Pages list for bad articles. I noticed that you used {delete} on CalendarHub. This tag has been deprecated as it makes extra effort on the part of the admin who actually deletes the page. If an article is worthy of speedy deletion, you should be able to give a reason why. In your edit summary you wrote advert. In the future please tag as {db|advert}. This will make it much easier on the admin and requires only three extra key strokes. Thanks. --WAvegetarian 18:25, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Check out Wikipedia:Candidates_for_speedy_deletion#Templates for more info. --WAvegetarian 18:31, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing your signature

[edit]

Please read Help:Preferences#Your_nickname. Uncle G 13:46, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I cited my source on that article.--84.159.201.24 22:18, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

huh?

[edit]

You created a page with a speedy tag. Huh? That makes no sense to me. --WCQuidditch 15:12, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vilhelm Hammershøi

[edit]

You have culled the Vilhelm Hammershøi page and hidden the history. I am sure that much of the content you have removed is not copyrighted (though I'm not certain that some wasn't). I think there was stuff that I wrote myself that is now gone. Unfortunately I can't check as there are no old versions. What material do you believe was violating copyright? Is there a copy of the pre-culled version somewhere so people can see the differences? Wouldn't it have been better to discus the matter on the talk page before making these permanent changes? --Bucephalus 21:11, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will you be answering my questions or are you just going to ignore me? --Bucephalus 19:00, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I realise that you are an administrator and I am not, but that doesn't mean that you get to ignore my perfectly reasonable questions. Please answer. --Bucephalus 20:48, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hurry up and look. You could have asked for this on the Wikipedia:Help desk, BTW. -- Zanimum 20:51, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalProof Application

[edit]

Dear Bucephalus,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you lack of vandal fighting experience. Please use proper warnings with appropriate edit summaries, see WP:VAND. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 22:56, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll stop now, I just had too much caffeine this morning. It got me a few laughs, oh well, I guess I'm immature. --Dave Willock

Re: block on User:165.166.158.24

[edit]

Re your message: You are correct that usually a final warning is issued, but in this particular case, several anonymous IPs and new accounts have been attempting to add in the same thing to articles related to God. See 24.245.51.216 (talk · contribs), Imaslaveandiamamaster (talk · contribs), and Psychohippie (talk · contribs). -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:43, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Not problem. It was an unusual circumstance. There was also 70.146.77.20 (talk · contribs), too. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

how was the edit on broomfleet vandalism? <- by 83.100.208.183

This:[1] is vandalism because wikipedia is not the correct place to advertise Miss Brown's "services". Please try and find something constructive to do. --Bucephalus (talk) 23:50, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
