Nobel peace prize "nomination"

[edit]

Another editor has reverted your addition to the DDT article of text relating to the "nomination" by John Berlau of Rush Limbaugh for a Nobel Peace Prize. Please do not reinsert the text, first because it is only peripherally related to the article on DDT, and second because the article about the prize should make it clear that Berlau is not one of the limited number of people who actually CAN make nominations for this prize. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 22:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

The article John Tolbert has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Chris Plante requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This proposed deletion smacks of a cancelation. Chris Plante is a well-known D.C.-area radio talkshow host, and information about him may be of interest to hundreds of thousands of his listeners. His political viewpoints and adamant expression thereof should not be a reason for information about him to be removed. DominikHoffmann (talk) 15:07, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Catholic movements for deletion

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Daask (talk) 21:28, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is hidden through Apple iCloud Private Relay. Place any further information here. Apple should allow users to maintain an exception list. DominikHoffmann (talk) 15:04, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That, of course, is up to Apple. To edit in the short term, you will need to turn the relay off. If you have a need to operate it(note that your IP is not public with an account) you will need to request an exemption, see WP:IPECPROXY. 331dot (talk) 19:14, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
