Here's a go at it. Reverend Distopia

how should this go?

[edit]

The Southern website is the only source I have been able to find. As such, I'm hesitant to add too much to the article because it is obviously slanted. Anyone have any ideas how to avoid this? Reverend Distopia

Best to just stick to the facts, these can be gleaned from the article and associated press clippings that the Crass webpage includes. I've had a go at expanding it a bit, I'm not sure if there's that much more to be said on this hoax, cheers quercus robur 20:16, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: Information on hearing snippet of the Thatchergate tape on compilation LP. PeteWilliams 06:21, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

In a recent Dutch TV documentary (There Is No Authority But Yourself), Penny Rimbaud reveals he did a deal with a broadsheet (The Observer)that Crass would admit to making the tapes as long as the paper printed the whole transcript of the tapes.

He also revealed the source of the "classified information" as a Skinhead who was in the Navy at the time. The source said the crew on the Sheffield knew exactly what was going on and there was a near mutiny.

Might be interesting, if sourced. Otherwise, it should go. I'm placing it here because I'm not comfortable jettisoning it altogether right now. --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 04:28, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's also mentioned in The Story of Crass, if I'm not mistaken. I'll check.  Channel ®   09:45, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
