Removed the phrase "Happy end was unique in that its singers, Haruomi Hosono and Takashi Matsumoto, sang in Japanese." I cannot see what's unique about that in a Japanese group? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Himasaram (talkcontribs) 09:35, 12 April 2005‎

It is often claimed that Happy End were the first Japanese Rock (as opposed to folk) band that sung in Japanese. However, this is incorrect as bands like The Spiders were singing in Japanese even in the mid 60s.

I removed the comment that their songs had Japanese melodies, as they have perfectly normal western melodies, using western scales. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.176.151.208 (talk) 16:17, 7 January 2007
