Welcome

[edit]

Hello Mungs, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your Hong Kong-related contributions so far.

You might find these links helpful in editing pages or creating new ones: Tutorial, How to edit a page, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should probably read our policies at some point too.

But don't feel you have to read every policy document before you do anything. Dive in, be bold in editing, and if you do anything wrong, someone will be quick to correct it and let you know (hopefully, politely!)

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! -- ALargeElk | Talk 09:48, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I need to find out the copyright status of Image:Kmb-102.jpg where did you get the photo from? Theresa Knott (Tart, knees hot) 08:24, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading the image

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 01:35, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

McRefugee

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article McRefugee, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of McRefugee. Boeing 747 restaurant in Seoul

[edit]

Hello Mungs. I don't remember the exact location but I do remember how I got there. Start here on Google Maps (I came in on the highway going north then I exited to get to point A) At this point, I went eastward and continued on. I don't know how far I went but the restaurant was on the right side of the road and quite visible. My goal at that time was to reach the Gapyeong Canada Monument. I can't pinpoint on the map because I think the restaurant is in the part were Google has no sattelite images. Danleo (talk) 16:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Fish Chan.JPG

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Fish Chan.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Fish Chan.JPG|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 13:22, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of McRefugee

[edit]

The article McRefugee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

flash-in-the-pan neologism

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
