old nick

[edit]

Maybe there's a better picture out there for Nick Nolte than this barely recognizable radioactive incredible hulk pallette swap we have going on here. Not a big fan, but I mean, come on.

missing credit

[edit]

In the list of movies, "A good thief" (2003), and "Off the black" (2006) were missing. - you're right about the picture, it should be changed.

[edit]

Uhm Nolte was arrested for being drunk. Why wasn't this included in the article? [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.193.101.49 (talk) 02:31, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Onion

[edit]

Nolte was recently targeted in a video segment on The Onion. Should that be referenced in the article? 76.118.224.230 (talk) 13:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism in career section

[edit]

mugshot

[edit]

I question the removal of the mugshot as irrelevant. It became famous, as the text notes. And the anonymous user has only that one edit, so a personal agenda cannot be excluded.RivGuySC (talk) 02:40, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. That mugshot is, sadly, probably one of the most notable things about Nick Nolte. 147.9.237.240 (talk) 21:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I thought of all the ugly mugshots and Nick Nolte came to mind. I am glad to see that others done want it. However, there may be a precedent to have it. Anna Chapman has one for her. If she has one, Nick Nolte should also have one. I believe none should have it as I said on Talk:Anna Chapman. RIPGC (talk) 03:30, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
An important issue is whether it can be confirmed that it is free. Mug shots from federal government agencies are in the public domain. Local law enforcement agencies have different policies; whether this mug shot taken by the California Highway Patrol is in the public domain is one of the criteria that must be determined if it is to be used. Dubious

[edit]

"Nolte was a model in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In one national magazine advertisement in 1972, he appeared in jeans and an open jean shirt for Clairol's "Summer Blonde" hair lightener sitting on a log next to a blonde Sigourney Weaver.[4] The pair also appeared on the packaging."

The source claiming this woman is Sigourney Weaver is unreliable. [1] [2] Maryvarn (talk) 18:41, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism - Nolte did not appear in "The Shining"

[edit]

Somebody added the sentence:

In 1980, he appeared, in an uncredited cameo, in The Shining as "man in bear suit."

I cannot find any evidence on the web to support this statement. This appears to be vandalism.

Please provide a reference for this statement.

Birth year

[edit]

According to sources from Google Books (1 & 2), The Washington Post and Patch, Nolte was born in 1940. However, according to the Los Angeles Times, CBS News, and United Press International, Nolte was born in 1941. It seems that sources differ as to whether Nolte was born in 1940 or 1941. Any comments? The Film Creator (talk) 18:23, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Nebraska Birth Index says 1941. This is one of those exceptionally rare instances where the younger reported birth year is right. PromQueenCarrie (talk) 04:30, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

nick nolte was credited in the movie. Return to Macon County but it’s not in his list of accomplishments are on his Wikipedia page so what’s up? 2604:3D08:3577:C230:5C3A:E8D:90A8:2764 (talk) 16:45, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
