Old name "Vlishing" or "Vlissengen"?

[edit]

Some Wikipedia articles -- including Flushing Remonstrance (featured on the Wikipedia homepage today) claim that in Dutch times, Flushing was named "Vlishing" or "Vlissengen". If this is true, it should be mentioned in the Flushing article. (And if it's false, Wikipedia pages that claim this should be corrected.) — Lawrence King (talk) 05:33, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Of course - that is the old Dutch name. Should be the first thing in the article 2A00:23C5:E08D:8A00:8C60:F418:3DAD:9FA3 (talk) 08:00, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, not necessary the first thing (location is the most important info to include) but it's already in the second sentence of the first paragraph. epicgenius (talk) 14:31, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
