Boundaries - South London excluded? Who writes this, a non-East Ender?

[edit]

Are there no south Londoners around? IMHO, areas like Elephant and Castle, New Cross and Bermondsey are definitely East End, so why the limitation to the northern boroughs?Maelli (talk) 14:17, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find a reliable source that defines the East End in such a way, it can be mentioned in the article. However, I very much doubt you will. We cite half a dozen sources that attempt to define the East End: they disagree on its eastern and northern limits, but they all agree that it lies entirely north of the Thames. Bermondsey etc are Inner London or Sarf London: they're not in the East End. GrindtXX (talk) 00:31, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
